Disclaimer
This page explains the limits of what Calculate7 calculators can do and the situations where you should not rely on them. The short version: our calculators are educational reference tools. They illustrate math. They are not professional advice.
General disclaimer
The information and calculators on Calculate7 are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. While we work hard to keep formulas accurate, constants up to date, and explanations clear, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the calculators or related information.
Any reliance you place on a calculator's output is strictly at your own risk. The same input can be reasonable in one context (a quick estimate) and unreasonable in another (a final number used for a building permit or medical decision). It is your responsibility to know which context applies.
Medical and health calculators
Our health-related calculators (BMI, ideal weight, cat pregnancy due date, and similar tools) are not medical advice. They use simplified models and population-average formulas that may not be appropriate for your individual situation, particularly if you are pregnant, have a chronic condition, are very tall or very short, are heavily muscular, are a child or older adult, or have any other factor that makes you different from a statistical average.
- Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions about humans.
- Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical decisions about animals.
- Do not use a Calculate7 result to start, stop, or change any treatment, medication, diet, exercise program, or care plan without professional advice.
- If you believe you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number — not a website.
Financial calculators
Our financial calculators (compound interest and similar tools) demonstrate standard formulas and arithmetic. They are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. They make simplifying assumptions — constant interest rates, no fees, no inflation adjustments, no tax — that don't reflect real markets.
Do not use a Calculate7 result as the sole basis for decisions about saving, investing, borrowing, retirement, taxes, or any other financial matter. Talk to a licensed financial advisor, tax professional, or attorney who knows your full situation and applicable law in your jurisdiction.
Construction and engineering calculators
Our construction calculators (height-in-inches conversion, material estimates, and similar tools) are reference utilities. They are not engineering specifications, building plans, or substitutes for code compliance.
For any real construction project:
- Use a licensed architect or structural engineer for structural decisions.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements against your local building code (IRC, IBC, Eurocode, or whatever applies in your jurisdiction).
- Get permits where required. A calculator output is not a permit.
- Don't use rough conversion results for safety-critical work without independent verification.
Science and chemistry calculators
Our science calculators (atom calculator, pressure, force, and similar tools) use values from authoritative sources (IUPAC, NIST, BIPM, CODATA). For most educational and everyday-engineering uses these are appropriate. For research-grade work — published measurements, laboratory protocols, regulatory submissions — verify constants and formulas against the most current primary sources for your field, and consult the relevant standards documents directly.
Accuracy and corrections
Despite our best efforts, calculators may contain errors. Formulas can be miscoded, constants can become outdated, and edge cases can produce surprising results. If you spot something wrong, please tell us. We publish corrections promptly and credit reporters when they request it.
This site can also go down or change at any time. We don't guarantee continuous availability or that any particular calculator will remain on the site indefinitely.

Calculate7 may link to external websites (standards bodies, government agencies, research institutions, source documents) as references. We don't control those websites, don't endorse all their content, and aren't responsible for their availability, accuracy, or any harm that results from your use of them.
